By Noah O'Donnell | Coffee types , Health benefits

It is a neverending story about good and bad sides of coffee drinking. Luckily with the development of technology, many myths are broken and truths revealed.

Exercise feels easier

Maybe it’s hard to believe, but it actually helps us exercise harder and longer. Actually, numbers are not small at all, they reach even 30% longer performing. Caffeine effect improves attention, and the ability of motor skills is much effective and easier. Some professional athletes even consume caffeine to upgrade their results, attention, progression, and skills. These are all consequences from caffeine effect on the brain which stimulates energy production. Popular also in combination with dieting and proper nutrition it contributes some healthy benefits. Important to remember is a fact to increase intake of water. Actually, caffeine is no more diuretic than water , it has a mild diuretic effect, but far from false facts, it will result in dehydration. Consumed in a moderate measure, it presents an important source of fluid.

Risk cutter

With all the researches and studies conclusion came itself that coffee drinkers have a lower risk of heart disease, respiratory disease, liver disease, diabetes, stroke even dying from many different causes. Scientists don’t want to conclude over but they are sure of the fact that coffee drinkers have healthier behavior.
All factors were included, from age, physical activity, smoking status, even education. Results were even better on many biological markers including liver and its enzymes activity.
After all discussion, nobody can say it will prolong your life, but we surely can say to you that you may still relax and enjoy your cup of coffee.

Habit or addiction

This should not be confused and enjoying a cup of tea should be done under some dose of common sense. Caffeine just doesn’t work on the brain like some drugs that are known as addictive. All the mechanism is based on connecting caffeine on the receptors in your head for adenosine which is substance guilty for your “sleepy” phase. When caffeine connects to these receptors pituitary gland starts with the emission of adrenalin. Dopamine level also rises making your caffeine high. Drinking coffee may be considered just as an enjoyable part of the day contributing to healthy, balanced diet and may lead to healthy benefits.

Decaf or not?

All-time discussion about effects of caffeine and all the research came to overall conclusion that moderate coffee drinking will just donate to a healthy diet and be a part of healthy life benefits. Caffeine is not found just as a major active ingredient in coffee, you may also find it in cocoa beans and tea, carbonated drinks and lots of medication.
Decaffeinated coffee has almost all caffeine removed, about 97%. There is no strict rule who should drink decaf or regular coffee, there are differences in some effects, but it is mostly based on the individual variability of tolerance to caffeine. Some people are very sensitive to caffeine so their limitations should be much rigorous and choice should be decaf or tea drinking. Some medical conditions also require much lower levels of caffeine in diet, especially people who have an intake of medications which include caffeine dose.
